Welcome to the Farm

Thanks for dropping by my virtual front porch.  If you know me at all, you know inviting folks to sit a spell on my front porch is one of my favorite things. And I firmly believe, a girl can never have too much porch or too much iced tea (preferably peach).

So what is this site? It's my storytelling home.  While I work in the world of technology, my heart is on the farm that I share with my other half (a.k.a. Cowboy) and our collection of critters.  Over 10 years ago, we gave up the suburbs for a chance to breathe fresh air, pick wildflowers (okay that is more me than him), and enjoy a different pace of life.  

With encouragement from friends, I started a blog (My Farmtastic Life) focused on the hilarity of farm life from the perspective of a girl who didn't grow up with tractors or muck rakes.  Over time, it's evolved into my creative outlet where I share stories and lessons from the farm, but also a place to house my writing and creative portfolio - which covers everything from farm life to poetry to recipes to book reviews to marketing tech articles.
